In 6 days, you’ll visit the main towns and villages to learn about Tibetan culture firsthand. The Potala, Jokhang Temple, Norbu Lingkha Palance, and Sera Monastery are Lhasa City’s top tourist destinations. You’ll spend the next three days traveling throughout the countryside. Where you may enjoy stunning vistas of snow-capped mountains and lakes. By touring the outskirts, you will discover more about Tibetan daily life and culture. You will go to Tashi Lunpo Monastery and Pelkhor Choede Monastery during that time.
Our Tibetan guide and Tibetan driver greet you at the airport or train station with a white scarf. This is a very traditional way of greeting a friend in Tibet.
The distance from the airport to Lhasa city is around 60 kilometers, while the distance from the train station to Lhasa is approximately 15 kilometers. We take it easy on the first day to acclimate to the altitude.

The tour program for Days 2 and Day 3 is designed to help you acclimatize to the altitude in Lhasa City. You will be touring some of Tibet’s most beautiful landmarks in the meantime. These icons include the Potala Palace (Dalai Lama’s Winter Palace), Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street, Norbu Lingkha Palace, and Sera Monastery.
The Sera Monastery is one of the most intriguing places to see, and I strongly advise you to go there in the afternoon while the monks are debating Tibetan Buddhist philosophy.
We must obtain a Visiting Time Ticket to enter the Potala Palace. We must plan accordingly based on that. Because of this, when you get to Lhasa, kindly give our guide your passport.
ATTRACTIONS:- Gampala Pass(4,900m), Yamdrok Lake, Nyinchen Khangsar Range, Karola Glacier, Pelkhor Choede Monastery& Tashi Lunpo Monastery;
On Day 4, you will depart Lhasa to drive across the countryside. The first attraction of the day will begin with traversing the Gampa La, a pass that rises 4,900 meters above sea level.
From the summit of the Gampa La Pass, you will enjoy a bird’s-eye view of Lake Yamdrok, also known as the turquoise lake due to its unique appearance. The Great Guru Padmasambhava meditated near Yamdrok Yutso Lake for three months and three days, making it one of the holiest lakes. During the auspicious periods of the Tibetan Lunar Calendar, Tibetans do a circumambulation around Lake Yamdrok in gratitude.
If the sky is clear and blue, you may also view the Nyinchen Khangsar Range, which has a peak that rises to a height of 7,300 meters.
On this day, you will cross another high pass named Karola Pass, which has a height of 5,000 meters.
From the Karola pass, you will also see Tibet’s 7th biggest glacier (Karola Glacier).
The Pelchoe Monastery will be your next stop. The monastery was founded in the 15th century, and it still has some of the original murals, dating back to that era. Kumbum Stupa is located on the same premises as Pelchoe Monastery. The Kumbum Stupa has 9 floors and 108 cells in the building. The structure itself is a symbol of the Buddha’s body, speech, and mind. The stupa is also designed like a sacred mandala, which is a visualization tool used by Buddhists to train their minds on the journey to enlightenment.
Day 5., Today we’ll return to Lhasa. We will drive 270 kilometers back to Lhasa via the Yarlung Tsangpo River. It can take five to seven hours.
This day of driving is spectacularly lovely since you will pass through so many various villages and also stop in Nyimo to witness how Tibetan incense is typically made.
